Katakanlah kepada wanita yang beriman: “Hendaklah mereka menahan pandangannya, dan memelihara kemaluannya.” (An-Nur [24]: 30-31)

hadis rasulullah pula berbunyi:

عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَظَرِ الْفُجَاءَةِ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَصْرِفَ بَصَرِي  (رواه مسلم).

Dari Jarir bin Abdillah ra berkata: “Aku bertanya kepada Rasulullah saw tentang pandangan tiba-tiba (tanpa sengaja), lalu beliau memerintahkanku untuk memalingkannya. (HR. Muslim).

((يَا عَلِيُّ، لاَ تُتْبِعِ النَّظْرَةَ النَّظْرَةَ؟ فَإِنَّ لَكَ الأُوْلَى، وَلَيْسَتْ لَكَ الآخِرَةُ)) [رواه الترمذي وأبو داود وحسنه الألباني].

Wahai Ali, jangan kamu ikuti pandangan pertama dengan pandangan berikutnya, karena yang pertama itu boleh (dimaafkan) sedangkan yang berikutnya tidak. (HR. Tirmidzi dan Abu Dawud dan di-hasan-kan oleh Al-Bani).

((الْعَيْنَانِ تَزْنِيَانِ، وَزِنَاهُمَا النَّظَرُ)) [متفق عليه].
